Naked Like the Day I Was Born

So, um, yeah.  Hit the dirt for a little redemption after my last off road suckfest.  And the road to redemption leads up and down Mt. Tam.  Let's just say I impressed myself without really trying.  That is all.  I had a blast, shredded, blew up my feet but felt like a bike rider .... well .... almost.  The vistas were amazing:
I am now sort of cooked but in a totally good way.   I have showered.  I have eaten.  I am about to take ole yellow dog for his evening walk.  The Fisher road well after I washed and tuned her up yesterday.  Let us just say that riding the dirt was sweet, hearkened me back to a totally awesome time, dang, it was just FRESH!!!!!!!

680 Is The Real Deal

Yes indeed.  The new trail was worth the wait, and that was on a 'cross bike.  I need to get out there on the Superfly 100 and see what kind of damage I can do.  Oh, and racing is going to be interesting this season if it happens at all.  If I step back on my aching feet and look at racing this year from afar, it is probably a good thing.  I need to get my feet better.  But, and there is always a but, I am playing my cards close to the vest in the hopes that I can get out there and mix it up.  The good part, the best part of the whole trip, is that my riding is turning into that of a soul rider.......soul rider.

Turds of Brown Plummeting from the Heavens

As is it should happen, the eldest is NOT playing football this year so the racing'cross should be the go-to sport.  Should be, I say, but it is not.  Seems little man is playing water polo.  Good for him.  I am proud and happy he has found some sports he likes.  That is important in life and we all need that.  I get to ride my bike.  Racing, we shall see.  The feet are still jacked, too, so it may not matter.  Oh well.  So goes life.  I am at least sort of training like I might get to race - sort of ... training ... and ... might ... race.
Calm down.  I got this.

Awesome Day

Yup, that's Freds.
Back on the bike and had a great ride.  Rolling on in back home down LVR I see this young cyclist up ahead.  He waves.  It's my son.  We rode home together.  That was awesome.  The overwhelming feeling of pride I felt at that moment is one I hope every parent gets to experience.

That's it.  I'm back.
